Homeless Youth Awareness Fundraising Event

There is a silent epidemic that is affecting our local communities that many do not realize is happening.  Sad, but true there are 36,823 students identified as homeless in Pennsylvania.  Data also shows that 5,554 of these students are identified as unaccompanied youth ages 13-20.  With little to no support system or money to live, it’s a terrifyingly brutal life on the streets. Imagine being a teenager who has nowhere safe to sleep, no food to eat and no way to stay warm yet trying to maintain their academics. Currently, there are hundreds of homeless students ages 13 to 20 living on the streets of Dauphin County in this situation that need our help.

This 12 Hour Experience will give business leaders, organizations and families a safe & secure simulation of what it feels like to be homeless on the streets.
